Expectations in the Art Room
- Come to class prepared. When you arrive to the Art Room, check the board for instructions.
- Follow directions. I will announce when I am ready to explain and demonstrate our activities for the day. All voices should be off, and eyes on me. Please be respectful to all who are speaking - whether that that’s me or another student.
- Noise level. It’s extremely important that your voice level be kept to a minimum to ensure your classmates can concentrate and focus on their work. This is also a safety issue because I need to be able to hear any announcements.
- Respect students, staff, and ideas. Be mindful of how you’re speaking to others and how your comments will make them feel.
- Clean up.It is essential that our clean up is organized and thorough to prepare for the following class. This assures there are no accidents and your work is not damaged.
- Your seat. There are times when movement around the room will be necessary, however this is not to be confused with getting out of your seat to check out each other’s work, visit, or have unnecessary dialog. There will be time for looking at others work and discussion, I promise!!
